Challenge
The goal was to create a space honoring Stream Realty’s people-centric culture and mission while highlighting
their presence in Washington, D.C.
Solution
The materials were strategically chosen to provide a neutral backdrop to allow the architectural elements
to stand out. The design palette represents a poetic composition of diverse and timeless materials,
sprinkled with subtle hints of color. The interior architectural features, being the driving design factor,
generate a forward-thinking mentality through radiused wood and glass corners. Wellness was introduced
and celebrated in the space by allowing for easy access to the outdoor terrace and perimeter windows,
allowing natural light to flood in and providing for amazing city views for all to enjoy. Another key feature of
the space for Stream was the café. Seen as a multi-purpose zone, the fully open café space has a generous
stone topped island to facilitate events and team member interactions.
Impact
Stream Realty’s new DC office reflects the collaborative and people-centric ethos of the organization. The
design of the space embodies a strong hospitality approach with light filled spaces that provide dynamic and
functional workspace for the DC Stream Team.
