As a law firm with a national practice and a specialty in tenacious litigation, Bonner Kiernan Trebach & Crociata LLP wanted their new office to reflect their open and progressive workstyle as a modern law firm. The primary challenges of the project were to improve the functionality of the reception and conference center, integrate a more amenity-rich café near the conference center, and increase levels of collaboration in support staff areas.
By reconfiguring the reception, our team transformed it into a welcoming, light-filled space that engages the adjacent conference center. The previous café had no access to natural light, and staff members used it infrequently. We relocated the café to a window line near the conference and reception. This improved the usability of the space for flexible work options and socialization. We displayed the firm’s art collection throughout the space, choosing wood and stone finishes as warm accents to the bright, clean aesthetic.
Our design greatly improved the way Bonner Kiernan works. By reconfiguring the floorplan for better flow and efficiency, we brought light to dark spaces and elevated the conference center with its proximity to the reception for breakout space. The centrally-located café now provides options for staff interaction and collaboration, consistent with the firm’s progressive workstyle.
