We are transforming 1901 L Street into a new, state-of-the-art, Class A office building. Utilizing the existing eight-story concrete frame, we are vertically expanding three additional floors plus penthouse amenity, horizontally expanding the floor plate to the western property line and creating bay projections along the south and east facades that address the intersection of 19th Street and L Street. The usable rooftop space will include a private office with dedicated roof deck and public rooftop amenities, including a kitchen, lounge, flexible conference space, and roof terrace.
The renovation and expansion will include a curtainwall facade system with no vertical mullions, new lobby, reconfigured central core and common restrooms, new elevators serving the building and parking levels, all new building M.E.P. systems, new streetscape, and added amenities, including fitness center and penthouse conference center. This repositioning is designed to be the first WELL Certified building in Washington, DC, achieving the Silver rating. It will also pursue a USGBC LEED Core and Shell certification and LEED Gold certification.
