WASHINGTON, DC, November 14, 2017 – FOX Architects, LLC, an award-winning architecture and interior design firm, is proud to announce that Kate Mooney, Senior Project Architect; Marie Moutsos, Design Director; Michelle V. Reyman, AIA, LEED AP, Technical Director; and Scott Russell, AIA, Operations Director have been promoted to Associate.

Kate Mooney, is a senior project architect in the firm’s Architecture Studio and has been with FOX Architects since 2005. She has experience in commercial architecture and design ranging from project conception to documentation and construction administration. Her portfolio includes the transfer of development rights projects that reinvent or reposition existing, occupied buildings in Washington, DC, campus work, and new construction commercial buildings. Kate’s recent work includes: 1129 20th Street, which received the NAIOP Award of Excellence; 1900 N Street; 1901 L Street; and Washington Gas Operations Center, which has won numerous awards, including the AIA Presidential Citation for Sustainability, NAIOP Award of Excellence, IDA Silver Award – New Commercial Building, and the Fairfax County Exceptional Design Honor Award.
Marie Moutsos is an award-winning design director in the firm’s Interior Design Studio and has been with FOX Architects since 2005. She is responsible for setting and implementing the firm’s interior design standards. She guides and advises design teams, providing overall design direction to ensure consistency throughout each of FOX Architects’ projects. Several of Marie’s design projects include: American Beverage Association; American Forest & Paper Association, which received the IIDA Merit Award, CREW – Best Interiors Award, and NAIOP Award of Excellence; and Nuclear Energy Institute, which won awards, such as the IIDA Pinnacle Award, IIDA Gold Award and the NAIOP Award of Merit.
Michelle V. Reyman, AIA, LEED AP, is technical director for interior architecture and has been with the firm since 2014. She is responsible for overseeing the technical aspects of the design process and overseeing the QA/QC program for the office in addition to the management of projects. A few of Michelle’s projects include: Smith Pachter McWhorter and Kettler’s headquarters, which was recently showcased in ArchitectureDC Magazine, and awarded the Fairfax County Honor Award for Commercial Office (Interiors).
Scott Russell, AIA is the newly appointed operations director in the firm’s Architecture Studio and has been with FOX Architects since 2011. He has managed projects through all phases of design and construction. His portfolio includes design and renovation projects in the corporate, government and residential market, as well as master planning. Scott’s projects include: 440 First Street, which was awarded the USGBC Project of the Year: Core & Shell Award, the AIA Presidential Citation – Sustainability, and the NAIOP Award of Merit; 1401 New York Avenue; and 1333 New Hampshire Avenue.
