FOX Architects Takes Home Top Honors at the 2011 IIDA Premiere Awards
April 5, 2011
(APRIL 5, 2011) – Last night FOX Architects, a Washington, D.C.-based interior design and architecture firm, received two Mid-Atlantic IIDA awards at the annual Premiere Design Awards Ceremony hosted in Washington, DC. The winning project, American Chemistry Council, received both a Gold Award for its category (Commercial Interiors (20,000 to 100,000 SF) and the evening’s top honor, the Pinnacle Award which was selected from among all the Gold Award recipients. Completed in September of 2010, the project included a complete build-out of the new 92,000 square foot corporate headquarters (82,000 tenant space; 10,000 mission critical). The building’s saw toothed shape provided a unique challenge, and inspiration, for the design, large-scale space branding, furnishing and corporate signage. Communication elements included iconic images and graphics elements which reinforced ACC’s core message of chemistry as an integral part of everyday life.
“We are very proud to be a part of an amazing roster of great projects that were honored last night,” said Andy Yeh, Managing Principal, FOX Architects, “It was great to have this highly prestigious project recognized by our peers in the industry.”
